【メーカー紹介】
Steltonは、今から5０年以上前に、StellanとCartonという友人が、それぞれの名前をつけて名付けられたデンマークの貿易会社です。
当初はスポーツシューズや家具を取り扱っていましたが売り上げは伸びず、そんな時にデンマークの小さなステンレスティール工場のことを聞き、タッグを組むことになりました。
1960年代には、ステンレススティールのカトラリーが大変流行っていたこともあり、Steltonはソース用のボウルに着手。すると、国内だけではなく、海外でも飛ぶように売れました。特にアメリカでは、Steltonはデンマークデザインの代表とされ、高級百貨店などで取り扱われるようになりました。
現在でも、社内で商品開発と厳しい品質管理が行われており、世界50か国以上で取り扱われる世界的な北欧ブランドとなっております。
